NEW TUNES!

Well.. Just had a stress free week off work doing all things production wise! And it's been good! Four or five new tunes to come out of the time spent. Big thanks to GKP Music for the visit to the studio, producing another track to add to the growing string of collaborated beats! Some of which still need some mastering time, but hope to soon release them all on one extended EP, maybe even a mixed EP by the GKP himself!?

Spent a lot of time last week producing bass lines and getting to grips with various synths and vst instruments. Can prove to be more time consuming when you have something in mind that you want to hear! Side Chaining with folders and groups instead of busses has gone from the experimental stage, to being the main frame for producing most tracks. Really happy with the way the last few tracks have sounded after the mix down, especially with the sub bass and low frequencies.

I file my remastered tracks by month and year they were produced. Looking over the last few months I realised I hadn't produced many tracks(or at least as many as usual), which is why I had to book the week off work and get it out of my system!

Many of the tracks have been uploaded to Soundcloud with 'Free download' enabled. The main reason for this is to get easy and fairly instant feedback on the best tunes before releasing them to the website, at which point many of the tracks are removed from Soundcloud to make way for new ones! Taking on board any feedback I may have had from Facebook or Soundcloud itself.

Hoping to upgrade and expand on the website in the not too distant future, focusing on feedback, comments and ratings for each track, but for now Soundcloud works well as the middle man!

Please check out some of the tunes that have been uploaded to Soundcloud recently, especially this one "FILTH" if you're into Drum and Bass!!

Mr and Mrs Parker! Click here to link to HFM

Local radio air play thanks to DJ Ian Parker and HFM!
Tracks from the 4HF label and Shotty.co.uk have had some daytime radio broadcasting, thanks to Ian Parker and Harborough FM, a local radio station for Leicestershire and north Northamptonshire.

This exposure following the pleasure of working with vocalist Jeanette Parker, on tracks such as "Hands and Faces" and "Everything". Jeanette, with an amazing voice and ambitious personality, has made it very easy for me to work with her vocals! Such talent leaves me with very little post editing and sound engineering! Making the tracks more spontaneous and giving them a live feel. Check the website to hear these tracks and let me know what you think. Much more to come from Shotty and Jeanette Parker in the coming months.

Jeanette and Ian are both performers, vocalists and live act. Covering a wide range of classic songs, listed as the 'Best duo in town'!

Big thanks to Ian for playing a selection of my tracks on his radio show.
Ian's show on HFM can be heard via the link, check out his regular show on Sunday afternoons, with a wide range of genres.

UPDATE! LATE! Click here for Soundcloud tracks!

Haven't updated or added anything to this blog for a while! Been way too busy! Producing, collaborating, practicing the mixing. I've also recently switched to a new DAW, which has been time consuming getting to grips with the new software and it's capabilities. The tunes haven't stopped coming, with the latest promos and digital equivalent of 'Dub plates' uploaded to the 4HF Soundcloud profile, which you can follow to the website for the full Hi Q versions, ready to download!
The latest tunes, along with the list of tracks soon to be released, have shifted to another level once again. The low end frequencies and sub bass lines are really starting to move the speakers in the right places. More energy in the dance floor productions than ever before.
Have to send a big thanks and recognition at this point to Tom(Delirious), also GW, for the co production over the last few months. Some tidy tunes have emerged as a result of some recent team effort with more to come. "Lights Out", which is a fresh DnB release on the 4HF label, produced along side Delirious, is now circulating digitally and has been mixed at live events. Be sure to follow the links on this page to hear this track and many more of the latest uploads.
Look out and get ready for the first co produced track with 'Scandal'(Strictly Beats event organiser), coming soon! It's definitely going to be a big tune and bass heavy. The final release will be showing on this page!

So check it out! Follow the links to Soundcloud and the website Shotty.co.uk.
This blog will be more frequently updated in the future.

Last month on the 2nd of December 2010, the latest release from Shotty.co.uk and 4HF Records "Disgusting Individual" was broadcast around the world on the internet thanks to Unite Radio, promoted by DJ Robbie Dee from Bristol. The track was announced as a 'world exclusive'(Which was a nice suprise!) and was played along side some high profile dance music from some of the worlds top producers! It was more than satisfying to hear the track on the show and the exposure was extrememly welcomed.
